This album is the first in his series of experimental releases based on invented instruments.

Instrumentation:

'The Next Big Thing', motorized sculpture, 1999, by Steven Gordon; Realistic Concertmate 500; surface-mic'd stair rail section; circuit-bent toy telephone; Danelectro and Digitech pedals and processors.

Songs 2-6 were recorded on a Korg CR4 4-track with Maxell tapes in the artists' studio.

Songs 1 and 7 were recorded at BangSnap Studios by Kurt Bauer.
